The Mines and Geosciences Bureau Regional Office No. VIII (MGB RO8) recently issued the third renewal of Industrial Sand and Gravel Permit of Kinjap Rock Industry Corporation by Ruben Fernandez on April 25, 2022.

The permit area is located at Binahaan River Brgy, Lourdes, Pastrana, Leyte with a total hectarage of 17.0764 hectares.

The said renewal enjoins the permit holder to strictly comply with the provisions of RA 7942 or the Philippine Mining Act of 1995 and its Implementing Revised Rules and Regulations and the terms and conditions of the permit.
Among others, the compliance of the permit holder with his obligations under the Environmental Compliance Certificate (ECC), Environmental Protection and Enhancement Program (EPEP) and Annual EPEP including the allocation of prescribed annual environmental expense pursuant to Section 171 of the Revised Implementing Rules and Regulations is expected.

In addition, Kinjap Rock Industry Corp. should maintain a Monitoring Trust Fund of not less than P150,000.00 and a Rehabilitation Cash Fund of at least 10% of the approved EPEP including the required EPEP, AEPEP, Social Development and Management Program (SDMP) and Annual SDMP within the duration of the permit.
