Pursuant to Sections 182-184 of DENR Administrative Order No. 2010-21 (DAO 2010-21), the Revised Implementing Rules and Regulations of Republic Act No. 7942 (RA 7942), otherwise known as the “Philippine Mining Act of 1995”, the conduct of 3rd quarter, CY 2019 Mine Rehabilitation Fund Committees (MRFCs) regular meetings for Mining and Industrial Sand and Gravel (ISAG) projects/operations in Region VIII were already started. The first quarterly meeting was that of MRFC-Julita, Leyte for the ISAG projects/operation in the said municipality on August 7, 2019, and the last meeting will be of MRFC-Burauen, Leyte for the ISAG projects/operations in the said municipality on August 22, 2019. The MRFC is Chaired by the MGB-08 Regional Director and Co-Chaired by the DENR-08 Regional Director, and its members are the EMB-08 Regional Director, Representatives of the Contractors/Permit Holders, Local NGOs/ Community Organizations/People’s Organizations/Church or Civic Organizations and the LGUs. The above photos were taken during the MRFC-Hilongos, Leyte for the ISAG projects/operations in the municipality on August 9, 2019.
