activities of the National Disaster Consciousness Month celebration led by the Regional Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council on July 1, 2015. The event was highlighted by a motorcade within Tacloban City and was participated by member and partner agencies such as the DSWD, DILG, DENR, PCG, DPWH, NEDA, DOH, OCD and the City Government, among others. A short program followed the motorcade with key speeches from lead agencies who all underscored the importance of making disaster consciousness a joint function down to household level and not just a monopoly of the government or any single entity. It was also emphasized that disaster consciousness should likewise translate into decisions and actions and zero casualty to the extent possible.
