On August 24-26, 2021, the UP Law Center Diliman Quezon City conducted a four-day MANDATORY CONTINUING LEGAL EDUCATION (MCLE) Synchronous Online Program to lawyers of DENR and its Bureaus. The MCLE Seminar was pursuant to the DENR Special Order No. 2021-369 of Atty. Ernesto A. Adobo, Jr., dated July 21, 2021 authorizing the attendance of DENR lawyers from DENR offices, bureaus, and attached agencies to attend the Virtual MCLE Compliance Seminar on the aforesaid dates in the interest of the service and in line with the continuing development of the lawyers of DENR.
The topics discussed during the four-day MCLE included, among others, environmental laws, environment procedures and recent updates in law and jurisprudence. The seminar was culminated by the discussion of the relevant environmental laws by Usec. Jonas Leones. The MCLE was attended by lawyers from DENR, MGB, EMB, LMB, NAMRIA, NWRB, and LLDA from the different regions of the country. On behalf of MGB Regional Office VIII, Atty. Christian Gilbert M. Dado and Atty. Rogelio P. Napoles, Jr, attended the said MCLE seminar.
The attendance to MCLE is required for all members of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP) to ensure that throughout their career, they keep abreast with law and jurisprudence, maintain the ethics of the profession and enhance the standards of the practice of law.
