The Mines and Geosciences Bureau Regional Office No. 08 conducted an orientation on competency assessment and individual development plan on June 03, 2021 at the MGB-08 3rd Floor Annex Building. The activity was primarily aimed to assess competency gaps in employees and to analyze possible reasons for non-performance.

Planning Officer Marcelino Tabayoyong discussed the Strategic Performance Management System (SPMS) and its importance to employee’s performance. While, Chief Administrative Officer Marcelina C. Espos discussed the competency assessment and how to effectively make an individual development plan. Also, the position profiling to assist employees on their self-assessment of competencies was likewise discussed by HR Assistant Beryl Tabayoyong.

The workshop commenced after the presentations.
